Plant-based and vegan protein shakes recipes make smoothies
There are several factors that can contribute to the variation in taste of plant-based protein shakes. We have developed a tasty flavor for our Vegan Protein , but you may always want to vary it a bit.
Here are recipes so you can really spice up your smoothie.
Recipes for smoothies, vegan and plant-based shakes
1. Banana Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter (make sure it's vegan)
- 1 cup plant-based milk (such as almond, oat, or soy milk)
- 1 scoop of vegan protein powder (vanilla flavor)
- A handful of spinach (optional, for extra nutrients)
- Ice cubes to taste
Blend all ingredients to a smooth consistency. Add more milk if necessary to achieve desired thickness.
2. Berry-Pomegranate Protein Smoothie:
- 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 scoop of vegan protein powder (vanilla flavor)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Ice cubes to taste
Blend all ingredients to a smooth consistency. Add some agave syrup or another natural sweetener if you want a sweeter taste.
3. Tropical Green Protein Smoothie:
- 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup mango pieces
- 1 ripe banana
- Handful of kale or spinach
- 1 scoop of vegan protein powder (vanilla flavor)
- 1 cup coconut water
- Ice cubes to taste
Blend all ingredients to a smooth consistency. If necessary, add a little more coconut water to achieve the desired thickness.
4. Chocolate-Avocado Protein Smoothie:
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1 scoop of vegan protein powder (chocolate flavor)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or other natural sweetener
- Ice cubes to taste
Blend all ingredients to a smooth consistency. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
